Success story: Panama

Supported the National Indigenous Peoples Development Plan.

In Panama during 2016, SIASAR was used as the base tool to gather information on the situation of rural water and sanitation services in communities with a majority indigenous population. These communities, in addition to having service levels that are usually lower than the rest of the country, are usually poorly monitored, so SIASAR is helping to better understand their situation and to inform the National Bureau of Indigenous Peoples about the specific needs and The actions that could be carried out to improve services in these areas.
